1. Be Proactive

There are two types of people in this world, Reactive and Proactive. Now, who the hell are they?
Reactive people are those people who react to situations negatively and without thinking about it deeply. They love to play the blame game. Oh, I’m not making progress because my boss is very bad. Oh, I’m not happy because the people around are not good. Oh, I’m very unlucky and bla bla bla. What they don’t realize that their actual problem is their mindset.

On the other side, we have Proactive people. They are the ones that take responsibility, they don’t blame their luck or any other people. They take charge, analyze, plan, and take action to better their conditions. They focus on things that they can change and not on those things which they cannot control.

2. Begin With The End in Mind

Imagine you are dead, now how you want people to remember you? This is a deep question. If you want people to remember you as someone who is always helpful and caring then you should start helping and caring for others now. If you want people to remember you as someone very knowledgeable then you should start reading books and surfing the internet.

The main thing is, you should have the ending in your mind. What you want to achieve and how you are going to achieve that. you should have a clear thought of it. This way you can be more focused and steady.

3. Put First Thing First

This rule is similar to the main theme of the book “Eat that Frog”. What you need to do is always start with the most important work you have. When you start your day, your energy tank is full so use that energy on the most important things without wasting that energy on mobile or on less important work. If you don’t do it this way, you are doing it wrong. use your energy and time wisely.

4. Think Win, Win

One of the biggest problems with people is they don’t like other people getting success. They get jealous, fill their mind with negativity and start wasting their time to bring the other person down. That’s not how successful people think.

Think like successful people and make your heart bigger. Compliment each other and if somebody is doing good then try to collaborate with them and learn from them. If you want to win the other person must lose is not the right approach. Think of something where you both can achieve success and benefit each other.

5. Seek First to Understand Then To Be Understood

How many times do we feel like people don’t understand us but, do we understand other people? If you listen to someone with the intent to give a reply, then you are doing something very wrong. Try to be a good listener, try to understand what someone said and why? What”s their feelings? Try to understand people first then to be understood.

6. Synergy

Synergy encourages us to work together as a team. You are not superman, you can not do everything yourself. And if somehow you manage to do it yourself then it will take much more time and energy. When we work as a team we can increase our capabilities much more and achieve success very early.

7. Sharpen The Saw

We want to have a fit body but don’t make time to go to the gym. We want to increase our knowledge but we don’t want to spend 30 minutes reading some good books. Today, social media is full of people making statements and arguing with people on topics they don’t understand properly.

Always remember before doing anything practice a lot. There is no point in doing something with half preparation. Use your time to better yourself in these four areas. Physical, Social/Emotional, Spiritual, Mental. This one habit makes the other habits possible by improving the greatest asset we have, Ourselves.
